Brett Davis attended the New Hampshire Institute of Art and graduated in 2009 with a BFA in Illustration. He is currently working as a freelance designer and illustrator, as well as continually submitting work to galleries and juried shows.

artist statement.

My work is a reflection and exploration of self and the human condition designed to ask questions about individual and social connections. I use a vernacular language to communicate a particular experience questioning what it is to be masculine, disregarding what society says or what culture suggests and forces upon us. It is an attempt at understanding the banality of urban life, sorting through the noise to give order to the barrage of mass media-fed images and information that confronts us daily. This exploration is an ever-evolving search into the understanding of myself and the current world I affect.
